About DSR2-46 Electric Landing Gear

DSR-46 retract is the first member of Digital Servoless Retract family with patent that EPF HOBBY company released in 2007 Q1. EPF HOBBY analyzes all existing landing gear in the market. And have found both air and servo push-pull retracts with potential issues for a long time. Air retracts need one AIR Canister pumps and so many pipes to connect each other. It is a hard job to prevent exhaust. Servo push-pull retracts mechanism needs many wires and servos connect to your receivers for your landing gear. Now, everything becomes easier. Just connect all retracts to DSR-46C retract controller. Then everything is under controlling and more reliable.

EPF HOBBY keep collecting feedback from Market and redesign DSR-46 to get more power and strength. And Switch most of parts to metal type. like angel gear ,worm gear and all driving system to get more reliable. They are going to be released in earlier of June 2009.

THE SAFEST SYSTEM

For safety, DSR-46 has a unique security system which uses advanced micro chip to control each retract. Three independent circuits to check working status of each retract. Such as the current, battery condition and motor status etc. Auto cut off retract if despaired situation happened to prevent draining battery. DSR-50C controller uses 2 colors LED as warring. Normal is Green. LED becomes FLASH RED if the input power lower than working level. And shut retract down if the current over 80% of motor stall. It is helpful to protect all the high precision system.

FUN OF NEXT GENERATION

Total length is 46mm, 24.5mm high and 27mm width. It matches all existing R/C aircraft under 8 lbs. No mater what wooden/foamy R/C aircraft. There are total 4 types of complete set. You could choice one of them to setup in your model easily. LED lighter version is more fun. High brightness LED inside. Nose retract is white. Right is GREEN. Left is RED. They will automatically turn on while the strut down. And off while up. They don’t need occupy any receiver channel. They are operated by controller.
